CDM Co-ordinator

Haldons are fully capable of undertaking the role of CDM Co-ordinator under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007, and are fully covered under our Professional Indemnity Insurance. 
 
By utilising the experience of Haldons, we are able to offer the services of CDM Co-ordinator to clients which incorporates: 
 
Conception and Feasibility 
Good planning prior to construction is essential when preparing a safe place of work. Under today’s guidelines it is essential our clients are made fully aware of their responsibilities under the CDM Regulations and how they can effectively participate in elimination risks to their projects. At this early stage we will provide the following role: 
 
Advise the Client of their responsibilities and duties under the CDM Regulations 
Advise the Client of the designers responsibilities and duties under the CDM Regulations 
Formal notification of the project to the Health & Safety Executive, giving relevant details, and producing an F10 form 
 
Design and Planning 
 
As a clients brief and project progress more detailed planning and co-ordination of resources are required at this stage of the project. Our input will be: 
 
Obtain project particulars from the Client and risk assessments from designers/consultants for inclusion in the Pre-Contract Design Phase Health and Safety Plan 
Advise the Client on primary risks associated with the site of work, the construction work involved and collate all necessary pre-construction information. 
 
 
Tender Stage 
 
At this stage we are advising on contractor appointment and specifically analysing their health and safety procedures ensuring competency to carry out the project in a safe manner.  
 
Review, comment and advise our Client on contractors health and safety plan, ensuring works cannot commence until plan reaches satisfactory level 
Ensure all further notification details are made available to the Health and Safety Executive 
 
 
Construction Phase 
 
After effective planning the construction phase is the most critical when regarding our role as CDM Co-ordinator. Actively monitoring site and activity is paramount in maintaining a safe place of work. At this stage Haldons will be actively undertaking the following action: 
 
Manage the flow of health and safety information between clients, designer, and contractor 
Advise client on suitable site welfare facilities 
Site monitoring of works in progress to maintain health and safety procedures set out in the Contractor's Health & Safety Plan 
Prepare, produce and update relevant, user friendly health and safety file for handover at the completion of construction works
